Are you ready to be part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced retail environment? Brights Hardware is looking for enthusiastic individuals to fill the role of General Assistant at our Plattekloof store. Your primary goal will be to provide top-notch customer service, ensuring every customer leaves with a smile. From loading customer vehicles to keeping the yard spotless, your contributions will help drive customer satisfaction and store success.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Customer Interaction: Deliver excellent customer service by assisting customers with product knowledge and purchases.
Loading and Stacking: Ensure customers’ vehicles, delivery trucks, and transfer trucks are loaded accurately and promptly.
Stock Management: Keep stock properly stacked, counted, and report any shortages or breakages.
Yard Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized yard to ensure efficient operations and a pleasant environment for customers.
Bagging Materials: Help with bagging stone and sand, ensuring customers receive their purchases in a timely manner.
Team Support: Assist with stock transfers and participate in stocktakes to keep inventory accurate.
Housekeeping: Ensure work areas are clean and well-maintained, upholding high standards of cleanliness and orderliness.

What We’re Looking For:

Education: Matric or equivalent qualification.
Experience: At least 1 year in a similar role, preferably in a retail or customer service environment.
Skills: Strong numerical skills for counting stock, excellent customer service abilities, and effective verbal communication.
Attributes: Discipline, motivation, and the ability to work under pressure. Physical fitness and stamina are essential for handling stock and assisting customers.
