✅ Key Responsibilities

As a General Assistant at Brights Hardware, your role will include:

📦 Stock Handling:

✔ Loading customer vehicles, delivery trucks, and transfer trucks quickly and accurately
✔ Stack and count stock to ensure everything is organized and accounted for
✔ Assist with pulling stock for transfers and reporting stock shortages
✔ Report any stock breakages to maintain product quality

🧹 Maintenance & Cleanliness:

✔ Ensure that the yard and work areas are kept clean and tidy
✔ Participate in stocktaking to keep track of inventory
✔ Bag stone/sand for customers when needed

👥 Customer Service:

✔ Assist customers by offering excellent service and sharing product knowledge
✔ Ensure timely and accurate loading of products purchased by customers
✔ Interact with drivers (delivery and transfer) to ensure smooth operations

💪 Teamwork & Flexibility:

✔ Perform any tasks related to warehouse or yard management as delegated by your supervisor
✔ Work independently and as part of the team to meet company goals

✅ What We’re Looking For

Qualifications & Experience:

✔ Matric or 3 completed Intercept courses (equating to 120 credits)
✔ At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
✔ Brights Induction (service excellence)

Skills & Attributes:

✔ Ability to count stock accurately and manage inventory
✔ Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and helpful attitude
✔ Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
✔ Able to work under pressure and handle a fast-paced environment
✔ Physically fit and able to handle physical tasks like lifting and moving stock
✔ Motivated, disciplined, and a team player
