Duties of an External Invigilator

As an invigilator, you will be responsible for ensuring the examination process is fair, efficient, and free from irregularities. Your key tasks will include:

  • Controlling admission and exit of candidates during examination sessions.
  • Managing and organizing exam answer books.
  • Handling question papers securely and professionally.
  • Detecting and reporting irregularities immediately.
  • Writing detailed reports on examination activities.
  • Packing and counting exam materials after each session.
  • Ensuring all examination stationery is accounted for.

These duties require a high level of integrity and responsibility, as you will be directly involved in maintaining the credibility of the examination process.


Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • A Matric certificate or NCV Level 4 qualification.
  • A recognized M+3 National Diploma or Degree.
  • Basic computer literacy with skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience in invigilation will be an added advantage.
