What Will You Be Doing?

As a Call Centre Agent at Tsebo, your job will be to talk to clients, help them with their needs, and keep track of everything they ask for. Here’s what your day-to-day work might look like:

Logging Calls:

  • Pick up calls from clients quickly — within 3 rings.
  • Enter the correct information into the Helpdesk System.
  • Record all the client’s details and requests properly.
  • Help with confirming bookings for venues and parking.

Helping Clients and Following Up:

  • Tell clients what’s happening with their requests.
  • Talk to other departments to get updates.
  • Make sure problems are fixed within the time limits.
  • If something is taking too long, let the right people know.
  • Always be polite, even with angry callers.
  • Ask your manager for help if someone is too difficult to handle.

Reports and Records:

  • Create reports when needed by the client.
  • Keep all helpdesk records neat and up to date.
  • Make sure your customer service is always at a high standard.

Safety First:

  • Always work in a safe and responsible way.
  • Report anything dangerous or broken right away.
  • Follow the rules about health and safety at work.

Extra Admin Tasks You’ll Handle:

You’ll also help the finance team by managing supplier documents and invoices. You’ll:

  • Talk to suppliers and get their information.
  • Keep records and copies of all documents.
  • File invoices so they’re easy to find.
  • Help answer questions about payments.
  • Send payment advice slips to suppliers.
  • Understand the service level agreements (SLAs) with suppliers.

You’ll also make sure you’re following Tsebo’s company rules and procedures related to safety, quality, and money handling.


What You Need to Qualify:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • A course or training in customer service or call centre work is a bonus
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar job
  • You must know how to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience using the Infor EAM system is a big plus

Skills You Should Have:

  • Speak clearly and politely on the phone
  • Be able to speak more than one language (bilingual)
  • Understand how the helpdesk system works
  • Know how to deal with clients and solve problems
  • Understand the rules around finance and tax (SARS, VAT)
  • Be organised and good at keeping records
