What Is This Job All About?

As an Insurance Claims Agent, you will help people during some of the toughest times of their lives. When clients lose loved ones and need help with funeral insurance claims, you’ll be there to guide them through the process.

Who Can Apply for This Capitec Job?

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1–2 years of work experience in banking, insurance, or client service.
  • At least 1 year of experience handling Funeral Insurance Claims.
  • You must have Grade 12 (Matric certificate).

Preferred (Not Required):

  • A National Diploma is a bonus.
  • Experience with:
    • Treating Customers Fairly (TCF)
    • FICA (Financial Intelligence Centre Act)
    • POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act)
    • FAIS (Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services)

Knowledge That Will Help You Succeed:

  • Understanding the claims handling process.
  • Knowing how to deal with funeral products.
  • General knowledge about the insurance industry and how it works in South Africa.

What Will You Be Doing Every Day?

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Handling all paperwork and processing related to funeral insurance claims.
  • Talking to clients and other important people involved in claims.
  • Managing extra tasks related to claims and assisting the team when needed.
  • Helping with reports and any recovery matters that come up.

What Skills Should You Have?
