💼 Key Responsibilities

As a Procurement Intern, you will support the Procurement Specialist with a range of critical daily tasks, including:

• Resolving queries related to procurement.
• Assisting in the administration of RFQs (Request for Quotation), RFPs (Request for Proposal), and RFIs (Request for Information).
• Helping to source vendors, especially preferential vendors like Black-Owned (51%) and Black Women-Owned (30%) businesses.
• Issuing and managing bids.
• Reviewing bid documents, scores, and verification of submissions.
• Summarizing reports and engaging with internal stakeholders for award recommendations.
• Assisting with contracts by drafting agreements, extensions, and termination letters.
• Supporting contract lifecycle management and maintaining supplier records.
• Updating supplier and vendor databases with new vendors, rates, and routes.
• Working closely with distribution, export, import, and planning teams.
• Assisting with air and sea freight requests.
• Compiling minutes and notes during supplier meetings.
