If you are curious about how large companies protect their people, information, products, and reputation, this internship offers a strong starting point. Corteva is not just offering an internship, but a chance to grow skills that matter in today’s fast-changing world.

Why the Corteva Corporate Security Internship Stands Out

Corteva is a global leader in agriculture, focused on feeding the world in a safe, sustainable, and innovative way. Security plays a big role in making sure the company can operate smoothly, protect its employees, and continue serving communities.

As a Corporate Security Intern, you will gain exposure to real security challenges, real decision-making processes, and real business environments. This role goes far beyond basic admin work. You will be involved in assessments, investigations, planning, and collaboration across many departments.

Understanding the Corporate Security Intern Role

The main purpose of this internship is to support Corteva’s Corporate Security team in protecting people, assets, information, and operations. You will help with the implementation of security policies, emergency response planning, and risk management strategies that support business continuity.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to understand how security works across an entire organisation, from people safety to product protection and brand reputation.

What You Will Learn and Do During the Internship

Supporting Safety and Security Policy Integration

One of your key responsibilities will be assisting the manager with integrating safety and security policies into different business operations. This means learning how rules and procedures are applied across departments such as supply chain, research, and production.

You will help ensure that security policies are practical, effective, and aligned with how the business operates daily.

Evaluating Security and Safety Plans

You will assist with reviewing existing safety and security plans to check how effective they are. This includes identifying gaps, suggesting improvements, and helping the team strengthen preparedness for potential risks or emergencies.

This exposure helps you develop strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Risk Audits and Assessments

Risk assessment is a core part of corporate security. As an intern, you will support the team in conducting risk audits and assessments. This involves identifying possible threats, understanding vulnerabilities, and helping design ways to reduce risk.

This experience is especially valuable for anyone interested in risk management or compliance-related careers.

Exposure to Investigations and Emergency Response

Assisting With Security Investigations

You will support the manager during security investigations. This may include gathering information, documenting findings, and helping ensure investigations follow proper procedures.

This builds strong attention to detail, confidentiality awareness, and investigative skills.

Supporting Emergency Response Teams

Another important part of the role is assisting with the management and evaluation of distribution emergency response teams. You will help ensure that teams are prepared to respond to incidents that affect people, facilities, or operations.

You will gain insight into how organisations prepare for and respond to emergencies.

End-to-End Security Exposure

This internship provides broad exposure to different areas of security, including:

  • End-to-end people and information security
  • End-to-end product security
  • Brand protection for various products
  • Protection of total business operations

This wide scope allows you to understand how security supports the entire business, not just one department.

Working With Teams and Stakeholders

Internal Collaboration

You will work closely with several internal teams such as Seed Production, Supply Chain, Research and Development, Crop Protection, and other enterprise functions. This collaboration ensures that security and emergency preparedness are built into daily operations.

You will learn how to communicate with different departments and understand their unique security needs.

External Engagement

The role also involves interaction with external service providers. You will assist with implementing security measures, conducting assessments, and ensuring compliance with local laws and company standards.

This exposure strengthens your professional communication and stakeholder management skills.
