What You’ll Do During the Learnership

Over the 12 months, learners will be guided by experienced professionals. You won’t just be watching others work – you’ll actually be part of the team. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Helping with the daily and monthly processing and reconciling of cashbooks.
  • Supporting the loading of payments on electronic banking systems accurately and on time.
  • Updating the payment app as soon as transactions are processed and completed.
  • Checking that all payments go through successfully and following up on any errors.
  • Assisting with the monthly processing of supplier invoices.
  • Making sure every invoice is complete, authorized, and compliant with company policies.
  • Working on supplier account reconciliations and ensuring all invoices are paid as agreed.
  • Handling supplier queries quickly and making sure they are solved.
  • Communicating with hospitals when purchases or payment questions come up.
  • Keeping supplier accounts within 30 days and requesting refunds when necessary.
  • Helping to open new supplier accounts when required.
  • Filing all documents neatly every week and keeping your workspace organized.
  • Meeting deadlines consistently while keeping all records accurate.
  • Supporting the Group Financial Accountant with daily tasks when needed.

What You Need to Qualify

To be considered for this learnership, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • A Diploma or Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Good attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting software such as Sage Evolution or Business Dynamics is a bonus.
  • A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and the ability to work in a team.
  • Deadline-driven and comfortable working under supervision.

Even if you don’t have advanced work experience, this learnership is designed to help you grow. The most important thing is your willingness to learn and your commitment to excellence.
