Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • A qualification at NQF Level 04 as recognized by SAQA.

Skills and Knowledge Needed

  • Familiarity with road construction and maintenance procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

Road Workers will take on a variety of essential tasks, including:

  • Construction of culverts and side drains.
  • Erecting and maintaining steel guardrails and gabions.
  • Performing earthworks and layer works for roads.
  • Cleaning and maintaining roads, sidewalks, and rest areas.
  • Surfacing and patching potholes.
  • Installing road fencing and laying pipes.
  • Setting up road markings and studs.
  • Installing road signs, distance markers, and barricades.
  • Crushing road material.
  • Bush clearing and grass cutting.

These responsibilities directly impact road safety and accessibility for all Limpopo residents.
