About the Role

As a Bus Driver Assistant at Curro, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of learners during transportation. You will work closely with the bus driver, teachers, parents, and learners to make sure every child has a safe and positive experience traveling to and from school.

Key Responsibilities

Your main duties will include:

Assisting Learners During Transportation

Help learners get on and off the bus safely.
Ensure learners behave properly while in transit.
Collect and deliver learners “door to door” and communicate with parents when necessary.
Transport learners to and from the correct locations.
Assist learners with carrying bags and ensure safe storage during transit.
Address any misbehavior appropriately or report to the Transport Manager.

Record Keeping

Complete periodic reports such as passenger counts, learner temperatures, well-being, and behavior.

Additional Ad-Hoc Duties

Perform general duties during non-driving times, which may include assisting the switchboard, cleaning, or food distribution.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
Valid driver’s license.
Previous childcare experience is essential.
