DIME Launches Data Capturing Learnership 2025 in Gauteng Townships

The Digital Innovation for Modernising the Informal Economy (DIME) Programme invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for the Data Capturing Learnership Programme 2025. This exciting initiative will run across Gauteng’s major townships, and the closing date for applications is 05 September 2025.

This is not just a learnership – it is a chance to empower your community while gaining valuable professional experience. If you are passionate about digital skills, youth empowerment, and township business development, then this programme is made for you.

Why the DIME Learnership Matters

South Africa’s informal economy is huge. From spaza shops to township food stalls, millions of families depend on it for daily income. But many of these businesses remain left out when it comes to digital tools, financial services, and formal growth opportunities.

The DIME Data Capturing Learnership 2025 is designed to close that gap. By training and mentoring small business owners, learners help local entrepreneurs access digital platforms, learn compliance requirements, and adopt sustainable practices. At the same time, learners build their own professional and leadership skills – making this programme a win-win for both interns and the communities they serve.

  • Role: Data Capturing Intern
  • Focus Areas: Digital literacy, business compliance, mentorship, and community development
