What Will You Do as a Cashier?

Key Duties Include:

• Greet and help customers in a professional way.

• Keep your till area neat and safe.
• Report any problems or customer complaints to your supervisor.
• Make sure cash is dropped into the safe as required.
• Use your cashier code and password only yourself, and change it regularly.
• Avoid mistakes and always check prices and voids with your supervisor.
• Follow all safety and store policies to prevent theft or fraud.
• Handle returns and exchanges when authorised.

Who Can Apply?

You need to meet a few basic requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate
• At least 6 months’ experience as a cashier is helpful, but not required.
• Good with numbers and comfortable using a computer.
• Speak and understand English well
• Friendly and ready to help customers
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
