Job Purpose – What’s the Role About?

As a Cleaner at Dis-Chem, you will make sure the entire store is neat, tidy, and sanitary at all times. From the shop floor and stockroom to the canteen and restrooms, your role is crucial to keeping customers and staff safe and comfortable.

You’ll also be expected to help out during store hours to clean up any messes and assist customers when needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

Here’s what your daily tasks will include:

✅ Clean the store thoroughly before it opens each day
✅ Maintain a daily routine of hygiene in all store areas
✅ Keep the restrooms and canteen clean and fully stocked
✅ Be available during store hours to clean when needed
✅ Use the correct cleaning equipment and supplies
✅ Place wet floor signs in visible areas during floor cleaning
✅ Assist customers professionally and kindly if approached
✅ Follow health and safety rules at all times

Minimum Requirements

• ✅ Grade 12 / Matric certificate
• ✅ At least 6 months of cleaning experience
• ✅ Good spoken English
• ✅ Basic customer service skills
