Job Overview

Dis-Chem is looking for dedicated Cleaners to ensure that the store floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen are spotless and meet the company’s hygiene standards. If you enjoy working in a clean environment and have an eye for detail, this job is perfect for you!

What You’ll Do (Your Responsibilities)

✔️ Maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the store, especially before opening hours.
✔️ Develop a routine to keep the shop floor, restrooms, and canteen neat and hygienic.
✔️ Ensure that restrooms and the canteen are always stocked with necessary supplies.
✔️ Be available throughout the day for quick clean-ups as needed.
✔️ Use the correct cleaning products and equipment for specific tasks.
✔️ Follow safety procedures, including putting up a wet floor sign when cleaning floors.
✔️ Be professional, friendly, and ready to assist customers when needed.
✔️ Follow Health and Safety Regulations at all times.

What You Need to Succeed

Minimum Requirements

✅ Grade 12 / Matric.
✅ At least 6 months of cleaning experience.
✅ Ability to speak and understand English.
✅ Basic customer service skills.
✅ Willing to work retail hours (including weekends and public holidays).

Bonus Points If You Have:

📌 Bilingual skills (can speak an additional local language).
📌 Previous experience cleaning in a retail store.
