✅ Who Can Apply?
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric/Senior Certificate) – Essential
- 0–6 months of retail experience – Great for beginners
Bonus Points If You Have:
- 1 year of experience in a retail environment
- A certificate in Retail Business Management
📋 What You’ll Be Doing (Your Day-to-Day)
You’ll be the face of the store – assisting customers, making sure products are displayed properly, and ensuring stock is always fresh and available.
🧺 Stock & Shelf Duties:
- Ensure shelves are fully stocked and products are neatly arranged
- Keep an eye on expiry dates and rotate stock regularly
- Restock fast-moving items to maximise sales
- Handle stock received and place it in the right sections
- Keep storerooms tidy and boxes flattened after unpacking
💳 Point of Sale Duties:
- Operate the till and handle payments (cash, card, vouchers)
- Process exchanges, returns, and loyalty cards
- Ensure price accuracy and report any discrepancies
- Drop cash safely according to procedures
🙋 Customer Service:
- Be friendly, helpful, and professional with every customer
- Offer product knowledge and assist in locating items
- Report compliments, complaints, and suspicious behaviour to management
- Build relationships with regular shoppers
📦 Other Duties:
- Assist in stock counts and general housekeeping
- Help with training new team members
- Report any expired, damaged, or low-stock items
- Help with loading/offloading stock when necessary
