Minimum Requirements

To qualify, you must have:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• 0–6 months retail work experience

Preferred:

• 1 year of retail experience

What You Will Be Doing

As a Casual Frontshop Assistant, your duties include:

Stock Management

• Restock merchandise promptly and correctly to maximize sales
• Ensure stock is stored and packed in the right place
• Apply FIFO (First In, First Out) to manage product shelf life
• Rotate stock regularly and report damaged, expired, or low stock
• Assist with stocktakes and cycle counts
• Keep the storeroom clean and organised

Merchandising & Display

• Maintain neat, visible, and correctly priced shelves
• Build and maintain merchandising displays
• Stay up-to-date with product knowledge
• Follow TLC Corporate Stores’ merchandising standards and store layouts

Customer Service

• Provide friendly and helpful advice to all customers
• Handle customer stock queries and follow up on out-of-stock items
• Report suspicious or unsafe behaviour to management
• Assist customers during busy periods

General Duties

• Assist with loading and off-loading stock
• Flatten boxes and ensure items are barcoded or clearly marked
• Maintain a clean workstation according to company standards
• Train new or current team members when needed
