The Role: Key Account Consultant (Learnership)

In this role, you will help build strong relationships with financial advisers, brokers, and other partners. You will be trained to provide support in product knowledge, industry trends, and technical skills.

You will also assist with marketing ideas, portfolio analysis, and training sessions to help grow the company’s client base.


What You Will Do

As a learnership candidate, you will:

  • Get full training on Discovery products, processes, and systems.
  • Assist with solving technical questions and providing accurate information to advisers.
  • Handle escalated customer queries and make sure they are resolved quickly.
  • Visit brokers and consultants regularly to strengthen relationships.
  • Identify any trends that could affect sales and report them to senior managers.

Skills You Will Need

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Good communication skills (spoken and written).
  • Basic computer knowledge, especially MS Office.
  • Problem-solving and research skills.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to come up with new ideas.
  • A positive attitude and a drive to do more than what is expected.

  • A passion for personal growth and learning.

Education & Requirements

To apply, you need:

  • Matric (Grade 12) with at least:
    • Maths (Level 4 – 50%) or Maths Literacy (Level 5 – 60%)
    • English (Level 4 – 50%)
    • A second language (Level 4 – 50%)
  • No formal qualification or previous work experience is required.
  • You must be a South African citizen.
  • You must not have completed any previous learnership in any industry.
