About the Wealth Management Learnership

This Learnership is designed to provide both practical experience and academic learning. Learners will spend time in a real business environment, working alongside skilled professionals while completing their formal studies. At the end of the programme, successful participants will receive a National Certificate in Wealth Management (NQF Level 5) — a qualification that can open many doors in the financial industry.

The purpose of this Learnership is to give young people hands-on exposure to how financial services work, while also providing theoretical training that builds a strong foundation for their future careers.

Key Responsibilities

During the Learnership, you will play an important role in supporting the sales team and ensuring that operations run smoothly. Your tasks may include:

  • Assisting with the capturing of new business and claims, and following up on outstanding requirements.
  • Compiling and managing daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Supporting the Sales Manager with key administrative and operational duties.
  • Ensuring all new clients are properly onboarded within set timelines.
  • Handling walk-in clients and acting as the first point of contact in the office.
  • Answering calls and managing general office administration.
  • Monitoring office efficiency and assisting with trend analysis.
  • Providing support to financial advisers and acting as a link between clients and the business.
  • Compiling monthly performance reports and assisting in identifying improvement areas.

This Learnership will not only give you skills in administration and customer service but also teach you how the financial industry operates behind the scenes.

Minimum Requirements

Before applying, make sure you meet the following requirements:

  • Must have a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
  • Maths (minimum 50%), English (minimum 50%), and a second language (minimum 50%) are essential.
  • Maths Literacy is accepted at a minimum of 60%.
  • Having an incomplete tertiary qualification in finance will be an added advantage.
  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 30.
  • Must not be enrolled in any other post-matric studies or formal employment.
  • Must not have completed any previous Learnership.
  • Must have good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
  • Must have basic computer skills, especially in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Only South African citizens by birth will be considered.
