About the Role
As a Store Manager, you’ll be responsible for running a busy Sportscene store, driving sales, managing people, and maintaining top-notch customer experiences. You’ll ensure that every aspect of the store — from stock to staff — operates smoothly and successfully.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive store performance through KPI targets (sales, turnover, visuals, new accounts, etc.)
- Manage stock losses and ensure shrinkage is within company standards
- Lead, motivate, and develop your team to deliver outstanding customer service
- Ensure operational excellence and a customer-first mindset
- Handle staff scheduling, recruitment, and performance management
- Oversee merchandising and visual presentation
- Maintain financial control and meet profit targets
- Train and develop employees for growth within the company
- Manage store risks and operational challenges effectively
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 / Matric
- A relevant tertiary qualification is an advantage
- 3–4 years of Store Management experience, preferably in sports or fashion retail
- Proven experience in driving sales and profitability
- Solid understanding of inventory control and team management
