Main Duties and Responsibilities

As a DUNNS General Assistant, you may be responsible for:

  • Welcoming customers and providing friendly service.
  • Helping shoppers find products they need.
  • Operating the checkout and processing cash and card payments correctly.
  • Promoting current specials and store promotions.
  • Answering customer phone calls and assisting with enquiries.
  • Updating customer information when necessary.
  • Making sure shelves are fully stocked and neatly arranged.
  • Replacing sold items with new stock.
  • Ensuring price labels are correct and easy to see.
  • Creating attractive product displays.
  • Assisting with receiving and unpacking stock deliveries.
  • Working with team members to organise new stock.
  • Keeping the shop clean, tidy, and safe.
  • Preparing the store for the next trading day.
  • Assisting with stock counts and inventory checks.
  • Looking after company equipment.
  • Following all workplace health and safety procedures.

Minimum Requirements
