What You Will Be Doing:

  • Learn and understand how supply chain operations work.
  • Support different logistics teams across various sites.
  • Be involved in projects that improve how things are done.
  • Travel to distribution centres, retail stores, and customer sites to see logistics in action.
  • Help plan and deliver logistics training sessions.
  • Ensure safety and food handling standards are always met.
  • Find ways to cut costs and reduce waste.
  • Work closely with sales, procurement, and retail teams to improve service.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Your role as a trainee will include:

  • Process Mapping & Standardisation: Document logistics processes across all sites to ensure consistency.
  • Reporting: Create and maintain weekly and monthly performance reports.
  • Auditing: Conduct checks to ensure compliance with receiving, dispatch, inventory, and cold chain operations.
  • On-Site Engagement: Travel between sites to provide support and solve problems.
  • Training Support: Assist in planning and delivering training for logistics staff.
  • Safety & Compliance: Help maintain food safety and occupational health standards.
  • Customer Service: Ensure customers receive excellent service and timely deliveries.
  • Efficiency Improvements: Identify areas where the business can save money and work smarter.
  • Collaboration: Work with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this exciting opportunity, you need to meet the following criteria:

  • A bachelor’s degree or diploma in one of the following:
    • Logistics
    • Supply Chain Management
    • Industrial Engineering
    • Or a related field
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain (experience with frozen or chilled products is a plus).
  • Good analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel between sites on short notice.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other reporting tools.
  • A strong interest in logistics and building a long-term career in this field.
