📦 About the Job

As a Delivery Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring customers receive their orders on time and in perfect condition. You will help the driver with deliveries, handle invoices, verify payments, and assist with loading and unloading products. This job is perfect for someone who enjoys working on the road, interacting with customers, and being part of a high-energy team.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

🚛 Delivery Support

✔ Assist the driver in safely transporting and delivering products to customers.
✔ Use GPS or maps to help navigate the most efficient routes.
✔ Ensure all deliveries are accurate and completed on time.

📝 Documentation & Payments

✔ Present Proof of Delivery (POD) documents to customers and collect signatures.
✔ Help complete invoice correction forms when needed.
✔ Verify customer payments (cash or check) and ensure proper documentation.

📦 Loading & Unloading

✔ Help load and unload products safely and efficiently.
✔ Follow proper handling protocols to prevent product damage.
✔ Keep the delivery vehicle clean and organized.

🤝 Customer Interaction

✔ Greet customers professionally and politely.
✔ Address minor customer inquiries and concerns.
✔ Represent Econo Foods’ friendly and helpful service.

📋 Inventory & Safety Compliance

✔ Keep track of returned or damaged products and report stock discrepancies.
✔ Follow all safety protocols and wear necessary PPE.
✔ Ensure all delivery records and paperwork are properly maintained.

✅ Who Can Apply?

🔹 Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent qualification.
🔹 At least 2 years of experience in warehousing/logistics (FMCG experience preferred).
🔹 Strong teamwork and communication skills.
🔹 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
🔹 Fluent in English (written & verbal).
🔹 Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
🔹 Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
