✅ Who Can Apply? (Requirements)

To be eligible for this job, you need:

✔️ A minimum of Grade 12 (Matric)
✔️ National Diploma in Catering and Hospitality Management (TVET College, NQF Level 6)
✔️ Basic computer skills
✔️ Good communication skills (Able to read & write)
✔️ Ability to follow instructions and work in a team
✔️ Basic knowledge of food preparation and hygiene
✔️ Physically fit (Able to lift and carry heavy objects)
✔️ Familiarity with kitchen equipment, cleaning tools, and food safety rules

🛠 Job Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)

As a Food Services General Worker, you will:

✅ Prepare and cook food following standard recipes
✅ Ensure food safety by following Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines
✅ Serve meals according to diet plans for patients
✅ Clean dishes, food trays, kitchen equipment, and work areas
✅ Pack and deliver food carts to hospital wards
✅ Collect used food trays after meals
✅ Dispose of waste properly and maintain cleanliness
✅ Help with inventory control and food storage
✅ Follow hygiene and safety procedures
