About the EPWP Programme
The Expanded Public Works Programme is a South African government initiative aimed at reducing unemployment by creating temporary job opportunities. For 2025, the City of Johannesburg is targeting youth, women, and persons with disabilities for these roles.

Position 1: Data Capturer – EPWP Administration
Location: 66 Jorissen Street, Jorissen Place, Braamfontein
Contract Type: Temporary EPWP position
Stipend: Provided (amount to be confirmed)
Minimum Requirements:
- South African citizen
- Reside within the City of Johannesburg jurisdiction
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 or equivalent
- At least 6 months of admin or data capturing experience
- Knowledge of EPWPRS is an advantage
- Priority will be given to youth (18–35) and women
- Persons with disabilities encouraged to apply (proof required)
- Must pass a computer-based assessment
Responsibilities:
- Capture and maintain accurate EPWP data
- Assist with report compilation
- Handle programme-related admin tasks
- Support coordination of EPWP processes
Skills Needed:
- Computer literacy (MS Office)

- Good organisational and communication skills
Position 2: Cleaner – EPWP Opportunity Centres
Locations:
- Region B – Ward 82
- Region C – Ward 70
- Region D – Ward 46
- Region E – Wards 32 & 75
- Region F – Ward 57
- Region G – Ward 18
Minimum Requirements:
- South African citizen
- Reside within the City of Johannesburg jurisdiction
- Grade 10 (Grade 12 is an advantage)
- No prior cleaning experience required
- Persons with disabilities encouraged to apply (proof required)
Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop, dust, and vacuum
- Keep offices and meeting rooms clean
- Empty bins and manage waste removal
- Assist with beverage preparation during meetings and workshops
Skills Needed:
- Reliability and punctuality
- Good time management
- Ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina for manual cleaning tasks
