What This Job Is All About

The Sales Representative will act as the main contact point between Eskort, its partners, and its customers. You’ll make sure that stores have the right products, in the right quantities, with strong visibility on the shelves. You’ll also work to build long-term partnerships with retail stores, such as Pick n Pay, Shoprite, Spar, and others.

Key Responsibilities

Here’s what your main duties will look like:

1. Building Customer Relationships

  • Visit stores daily—10 to 15 store calls per day
  • Build strong relationships with retail managers and staff
  • Respond quickly to customer questions or complaints
  • Keep clients happy and grow the number of loyal stores
  • Promote Eskort products to new and existing customers
  • Present sales pitches and product ideas clearly and confidently

2. Hitting Sales Targets

  • Reach your monthly sales targets
  • Work closely with other sales reps and departments
  • Help drive Eskort’s presence and visibility in retail spaces
  • Seek out new business opportunities across the province

3. Reporting and Feedback

  • Send detailed monthly reports to management
  • Share updates on competitor activity and new market trends
  • Inform management of any customer needs or feedback
  • Offer ideas for new products or services based on client input

4. Teamwork and Events

  • Attend meetings and team check-ins when needed
  • Work together with Clover, Vector, and merchandisers
  • Represent Eskort at trade shows and marketing events

What You Need to Apply

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, or a similar field (BCom preferred)

Experience Required:

  • At least 2 years of work experience in a sales or brand representative role
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Proven ability to maintain great client relationships

Skills You’ll Need:

  • Excellent communication (both written and spoken)
  • Confident in giving presentations and sales pitches
  • Strong planning, time management, and organizing skills
  • Must be computer literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CRM software)
  • Able to work alone or with a team in a busy environment
  • Open to feedback and always willing to improve
