Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience as a Receptionist or front office staff in a 4-star or 5-star hotel/spa.
  • Basic computer skills, especially MS Office.
  • A qualification in Tourism, Hospitality, or Customer Service will give you an advantage.
  • Knowledge of booking systems and point-of-sale systems.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

As a Receptionist at Fancourt, your daily tasks will include:

  • Welcoming and assisting guests throughout their stay.
  • Answering questions, handling concerns, and providing professional service.
  • Managing reservation inquiries and bookings.
  • Handling cash and card payments in a safe and accurate way.
  • Balancing cash floats and completing banking tasks.
  • Answering calls and managing the switchboard.
  • Promoting spa treatments and beauty products available at the resort.
  • Keeping the reception area clean and professional.
  • Supporting the team with admin duties such as filing and data entry.
  • Working with other departments to ensure guests have a smooth experience.
  • Protecting the privacy and details of all guests.
  • Handling complaints quickly and effectively.
