What You’ll Do

As a Fidelity Firefighter, you’ll be on the frontlines, responding to fire emergencies, rescues, and hazardous incidents while keeping people and property safe.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Responding to fires, accidents, and rescue operations.
• Handling hazardous substance incidents safely.
• Performing basic medical care and first aid.
• Operating and maintaining firefighting vehicles and equipment.
• Conducting fire safety training and inspections.
• Keeping accurate records of daily activities and emergency responses.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Requirements

To qualify, you must have:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• NFPA 1001 Firefighter II Certification (IFSAC Accredited)
• 2 – 3 years of firefighting experience
• Valid Code C1 Driver’s License with PrDP
• Physically and medically fit
• First Aid Levels 1–3
• Hazmat experience and knowledge
• EMT certification (advantageous)
• Clear criminal record
