Job Purpose
As a Store Cleaner, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe environment across the store, including:
- Shop floor
- Stock room
- Dispensary
- Admin office
- Staff canteen
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- At least 6 months of cleaning experience
- Good English communication skills
- Basic customer service skills
- Willing to work retail hours
Advantageous:
- Bilingual (English + local language)
- Experience cleaning in a retail store environment
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high hygiene standards in all store areas.
- Clean restrooms and staff areas regularly, ensuring they are fully stocked.
- Be on standby during trading hours for spot cleaning.
- Use the correct cleaning products and equipment for different tasks.
- Follow health and safety procedures, including placing wet floor signs.
- Assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
