What You’ll Do
As a Fidelity Firefighter, you’ll be on the frontlines, responding to fire emergencies, rescues, and hazardous incidents while keeping people and property safe.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to fires, accidents, and rescue operations.
- Handling hazardous substance incidents safely.
- Performing basic medical care and first aid.
- Operating and maintaining firefighting vehicles and equipment.
- Conducting fire safety training and inspections.
- Keeping accurate records of daily activities and emergency responses.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Requirements
To qualify, you must have:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- NFPA 1001 Firefighter II Certification (IFSAC Accredited)
- 2 – 3 years of firefighting experience
- Valid Code C1 Driver’s License with PrDP
- Physically and medically fit
- First Aid Levels 1–3
- Hazmat experience and knowledge
- EMT certification (advantageous)
- Clear criminal record
