As a Firefighter at Fidelity Services Group, your main job is to respond to fire-related incidents and other emergencies. You will be responsible for:
✅ Firefighting & Emergency Response: Controlling and putting out fires, assisting in rescues, and handling emergency situations.
✅ Basic Medical Assistance: Providing first aid and emergency medical care when needed.
✅ Fire Prevention & Safety Training: Teaching employees how to handle fire risks and use safety equipment.
✅ Operating Fire Equipment: Using specialized firefighting gear, vehicles, and tools.
✅ Health & Safety Checks: Making sure workplaces follow safety rules to prevent accidents.
✅ Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance: Checking and maintaining firefighting tools and vehicles to ensure they’re ready for action.
You will also participate in training drills and stay physically fit to be prepared for any emergency!
To apply for this exciting role, you must have the following:
✔️ Grade 12 (Matric) – This is the minimum qualification required.
✔️ Firefighter II Certification (NFPA 1001) – Essential certification for firefighting.
✔️ IFSAC Accreditation – A recognized qualification for firefighters.
✔️ Firefighting Training & Experience – At least 2-3 years of experience.
✔️ Valid Code C1 Driver’s License with PrDP – For driving fire trucks and emergency vehicles.
✔️ Physical & Medical Fitness – Firefighting is a physically demanding job, so you need to be in top shape.
✔️ First Aid (Levels 1-3) & EMT Certification – Knowing how to handle medical emergencies is a big plus.
✔️ Hazmat Knowledge & Experience – Handling hazardous materials safely is crucial.
✔️ Strong Communication & Teamwork Skills – Firefighting is all about working together under pressure.
