Job Overview: What Does a Query Clerk Do?

As a Query Clerk at Fidelity Services Group, you’ll be responsible for making sure your branch runs smoothly, ensuring that all security requirements are met, and that client needs are handled efficiently and professionally.

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that daily operations are organized, reports are accurate, and queries are addressed.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Reporting: You will complete and submit all client reports and statistics at the end of every shift, ensuring that all documentation is up-to-date and accurate.

Handling Queries: As the main point of contact for all site-specific client needs, you’ll address queries, incidents, and conduct initial investigations, reporting all important details to the Branch Manager.

Managing Documentation: You’ll be responsible for making sure all registers, reports, and forms are completed and filed properly. Handling stationary orders, such as deposit books and money grips, will also be part of your role.

Equipment and Consumables: Ensuring that any faulty equipment is reported and consumables are ordered and available is crucial. You will work with the Branch Manager to ensure operations run smoothly.

Client Interaction: Regular communication with clients will be expected, along with dispatching reports and essential documentation on time, such as TDCs, while keeping track of deliveries to ensure client satisfaction.

What Do You Need to Apply?


To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 Certificate
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • A professional image and excellent time management
  • Honest, reliable, and able to handle confidential information
