Job Purpose: Security Guard

The role of a Security Guard at FlySafair is critical to ensuring the safety and protection of the company’s facilities, assets, and personnel. You will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring access points, conducting patrols, and responding quickly to potential threats.

This job requires someone who is alert, responsible, and committed to safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities

As a Security Guard at FlySafair, you will be expected to:

Monitor and control access to and from the FlySafair facility.
Ensure only authorized personnel, vehicles, and materials enter or leave the premises.
Assist with the removal of unauthorized individuals from the property when necessary.
Stay vigilant for criminal activity or disturbances and take appropriate action.
Report suspicious incidents or activities immediately to management.
Patrol the facility and its perimeter regularly to maintain safety.
Assist with ad-hoc duties when required.
Conduct searches of vehicles and valuables as part of security checks.

Your role will be hands-on and requires quick thinking and excellent problem-solving skills.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent – Essential.
Security Certificate with Grade C – Essential.
Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Basic security knowledge is required.
Aviation security experience will be an advantage.
