About the Job: What You’ll Do

As a Multiskilled Operator, your main job is to operate heavy-duty machines used in tailings dam maintenance and construction. You’ll work outdoors, maintain safety, and ensure that every shift runs smoothly.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

Operate machines such as:
- Graders
- ADT (Articulated Dump Trucks)
- Excavators
- FEL (Front-End Loaders)
Perform trench cleaning, digging, loading, and dam maintenance tasks
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times
Perform daily inspections on machines before and after your shift
Complete inspection checklists and report any faults
Maintain clean work areas and assist with general housekeeping
Stick to all health and safety rules to prevent accidents
Report any unsafe conditions or behaviors immediately

This role demands someone who is hands-on, safety-conscious, and can work independently and as part of a team.

What You Need to Qualify

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
MQA-accredited operator certificates for the following:
- Grader
- Excavator
- FEL (Front-End Loader)
- ADT (Articulated Dump Truck)
Code 10 Driver’s License

Experience Needed

To qualify for this role, you must have:

At least 4 years of machine operation experience in a tailings or mining environment
Strong working knowledge of machine safety and on-site procedures
Familiarity with what makes a workplace unsafe and how to act accordingly
