What Is This Job About?

AFGRI needs reliable people to help qualified artisans maintain and fix machines and equipment. These machines are part of the AFGRI Animal Feeds business, so you’ll be working in a feed factory. You won’t be doing it alone – you’ll work closely with experienced professionals who will guide you and teach you new skills.

What You Need to Qualify

To apply for this position, you must have:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• At least 1 year of experience doing maintenance work in a feed factory or similar environment.

If you don’t have a formal qualification in mechanics or electricity, that’s okay. What matters most is that you have basic knowledge and practical experience.

What Will You Be Doing Every Day?

Here’s what your daily tasks may include:

• Helping skilled artisans fix and maintain machines and tools.
• Giving helpful advice about parts that need repair or replacement.
• Making sure the factory machines are always ready to work.
• Keeping your work area and tools clean and organized.
• Wearing your PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and following safety rules.
• Helping to reduce risks that could affect food safety.
• Being part of HACCP (food safety system) activities and following hygiene rules.
• Working overtime when necessary.

You’ll also need to stick to your working hours and always be on time.
