What This Job Is All About

This job is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, is great at staying calm under pressure, and has strong attention to detail. As a Cashier at SSK’s Astron Fuel Station, your main role will be helping customers by handling sales and payments, keeping track of fuel and product sales, and doing daily admin tasks like cash-ups and reports.

What You’ll Be Doing Daily

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Capturing sales of fuel and other products on the cash register or POS (Point-of-Sale) system
• Handling cash, card, and other payment methods quickly and correctly
• Doing daily cash-ups, reconciliations, and sending through reports
• Supporting your team with admin and making sure everything runs smoothly
• Giving friendly and professional customer service to everyone who walks in

What You Need to Qualify

To apply, you need to meet the following basic requirements:

• Matric/Grade 12 certificate – this is non-negotiable
• Good numerical and computer skills – you’ll be working with money and systems
• Must be bilingual in Afrikaans and English – communication is key
• Able to stay calm under pressure and work accurately
• A real passion for helping customers and solving problems
• Previous experience as a cashier or in retail will give you an advantage, but it’s not required
