Main Purpose of the Job:

The primary role of a Sales Assistant is to deliver top-notch customer service and contribute to the company’s growth by maximizing sales. Your mission is to ensure every customer leaves the store with a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:

Greet customers warmly as they enter the store.
Assist customers in finding products and offer tailored recommendations.
Implement upselling and cross-selling techniques to boost sales and improve key performance indicators like Unit Per Transaction (UPT) and Average Transaction Value (ATV).
Promote various payment options including PAYFLEX, PJN, and Happy Pay.
Represent the GALXBOY brand with professionalism, adhering to uniform and grooming standards.

2. Visual Merchandising:

Stay informed about product details, care instructions, and pricing to better assist customers.
Handle product tagging, pricing, hanging, folding, and replenishing.
Follow visual merchandising guidelines to create an inviting and organized shopping environment.

3. Stock Control:

Monitor and replenish stock levels on the sales floor.
Maintain an organized and clean stockroom for efficient sales processes.
Keep managers updated on stock levels, best sellers, and restock needs.
Receive and unbox new deliveries promptly, ensuring the sales floor is always well-stocked.

4. Daily Operations and Housekeeping:

Adhere to time and attendance policies, including clocking in/out and reporting late arrivals.
Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system and manage various payment methods.
Ensure the store remains clean and tidy, including merchandise organization, floor sweeping, and display maintenance.

Education: Grade 12 (Higher education is an advantage).
Experience: 1-2 years in a retail environment is preferred.
Skills: Customer service, retail practices, and leadership abilities.
