Main Purpose of the Job

As a Sales Assistant, your main role will be to provide outstanding customer service, represent the brand in a professional way, and help the store grow its sales. You’ll work closely with customers, making sure they feel welcome, guided, and satisfied with every shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

If you join GALXBOY as a Sales Assistant, here’s what your day-to-day will look like:

Customer Service

• Greet and welcome customers as they arrive.
• Help customers find the products they need and suggest the right options.
• Actively use upselling and cross-selling techniques to increase sales.
• Promote and explain all available payment methods, including Payflex, PJN, and Happy Pay.
• Represent the GALXBOY brand by following the uniform policy and staying professional at all times.

Visual Merchandising

• Understand where products are placed and help customers with details like material, care instructions, and pricing.
• Assist with steaming, tagging, pricing, hanging, folding, and replenishing stock.
• Follow the company’s Visual Merchandising (VM) guidelines to keep the store looking stylish and appealing.

Stock Control

• Keep track of stock levels on the floor and help with replenishing walls and tables.
• Maintain a clean, organized stockroom so products are easy to find.
• Update managers on stock shortages, sell-outs, and best sellers.
• Receive and unpack deliveries quickly, replenishing shelves daily or weekly.

Daily Operations and Housekeeping

• Stick to time and attendance requirements, clock in and out on time, and follow the staff roster.
• Handle customer transactions accurately using the POS system, including cash and card payments.
• Keep the store tidy — this includes cleaning surfaces, sweeping floors, and maintaining displays.

Skills and Attributes Needed
