What’s the Role About?

As a Sales Assistant at GALXBOY, you won’t just be folding clothes or standing behind a counter. You’ll be the face of the brand, helping customers look and feel their best. Your job is to deliver top-notch service, help customers make confident choices, and make sure every part of the store looks and feels amazing.

You’ll also learn important retail skills like sales techniques, stock management, and visual merchandising. These are not just “in-store” jobs – they’re career-building experiences.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Customer Service

• Welcome every customer with a smile and help them find what they need
• Recommend styles, products, and new items they might like
• Use upselling techniques to help customers find full outfits (and boost sales)
• Understand and promote payment options like PayFlex, PJN, and Happy Pay
• Stay professional and presentable—your look represents the brand

Visual Merchandising

• Know where everything is and how to talk about it
• Keep clothes steamed, tagged, folded, priced, and displayed properly
• Follow the brand’s visual display rules to keep the store looking top-class

Stock Control

• Keep an eye on stock levels and report what’s running low
• Help unpack new deliveries and get them on the floor quickly
• Make sure the stockroom is neat and products are easy to find
• Refill shelves and racks when products sell out

Daily Store Operations

• Be on time and follow your work schedule
• Accurately process payments using card or cash
• Help keep the store clean and tidy—sweep, wipe surfaces, and organize displays

Who Should Apply?

GALXBOY is looking for young, motivated individuals who love fashion and enjoy working with people. Here’s what you need to apply:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Basic computer skills
• 1–2 years of retail experience (Preferred, not required)
• A friendly, helpful personality
• Willingness to work flexible hours and follow store policies
• Good communication and people skills
• Higher education is a plus, but not required
