What Does an Examination Assistant Do?

Examination Assistants will be based at the District Offices or Head Office. Their tasks will include:

  • Receiving, checking, and scanning exam scripts daily, then packing them for marking.
  • Making sure every batch has the correct number of scripts and marksheets.
  • Sorting scripts correctly for each subject and marking venue.
  • Fixing any problems with missing or mismatched papers.
  • Preparing marking centre files and sending scripts to the right venues.
  • Archiving and indexing scripts after marking so they can be found in the future.

These duties are critical in making sure exams are handled securely and efficiently.

What Does a Quality Assurer Do?

Quality Assurers will work at Marking Centres and play a big role in making sure marking is done accurately. They will:

  • Receive, control, and distribute scripts to marking teams.
  • Double-check that each batch has the correct number of scripts and marksheets.
  • Scan and record scripts quickly and accurately.
  • Make sure all questions are marked and that marks are added up correctly.
  • Ensure the marks are transferred correctly to covers and marksheets.
