154 Limpopo Traffic Officer Learnerships

The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety is inviting young South Africans to apply for its Traffic Learner Officer Learnership Programme 2025. There are 154 positions available across all five districts in Limpopo. This 12-month programme gives you a chance to train as a traffic officer, gain valuable qualifications, and earn a stipend while you learn.

Stipend: R67 675.56 per year (paid monthly during the learnership).

What the Learnership Offers

This programme is designed to prepare you for a career in traffic law enforcement. Over the 12 months, you will get both classroom training and practical, on-the-job experience. By the end of the programme, you will have skills that can open doors to permanent jobs in the transport and safety sector.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, you must:

• Have a Grade 12 certificate or an equivalent qualification.
• Be 18 to 35 years old.
• Hold a valid Code B driver’s licence (manual transmission).
• Have no criminal record.
• Have no visible tattoos that go against professional conduct.
• Provide a medical certificate proving you are fit for strenuous physical activity.
• Not be declared unfit to own a firearm (as per the Firearm Control Act, 2000).
• Be willing to work shifts – including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Be a South African citizen with a valid ID.
