🚧 Job Overview

As a General Assistant, you’ll work closely with Cooks and Chefs to support food preparation, maintain kitchen and canteen cleanliness, serve food, and handle the cash register. This role is hands-on and fast-paced – ideal for someone who is reliable, team-oriented, and enjoys being active during their shift.

📍 Key Duties and Responsibilities

Here’s what you’ll be doing on a daily basis:

• Assisting with food preparation (salads, desserts, etc.)
• Serving meals and keeping the serving area stocked and tidy
• Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and canteen
• Operating the cash register at mealtimes
• Handling leftover food storage and recordkeeping
• Cleaning tables, food stations, and kitchen areas
• Supporting customer service standards in line with company policies
• Participating in team meetings and required training sessions
• Responding to client and customer feedback
• Performing related duties as requested by management

You will play a critical role in ensuring that customers receive quality meals in a clean, well-organized environment.

✅ Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following:

• Must be a South African citizen
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have completed at least a National Senior Certificate (Matric)
• Must be honest, reliable, and professional
• Must be able to communicate well with teammates and customers
• Be able to work on your feet for long hours, bend, stand, and lift when required
• Must have good personal hygiene and no food-related skin allergies
• Must be willing to work 45–50 hours per week
