Job Title: General Worker

Location: Queenstown, 1 Arkwright Street, Komani Industrial Park, Komani

Purpose: This job involves performing various general duties such as yard cleaning, diesel fill-ups, truck washing, and more.

Job Description

Maintenance of Equipment/Assets:

• Clean Equipment: Follow the standard operating procedures (SOP) to ensure equipment is cleaned properly.
• Sort Pallets & Boards: Make sure pallets and boards are sorted daily.
• Report Issues: Inform the mechanic about any problems with machines or equipment.
• Diesel Fill-Ups: Ensure all trucks are filled with diesel before they leave the premises.
• Keep Machinery Clean: Maintain cleanliness of all machinery.
• Assist with Truck Washing: Help in washing trucks as needed.

Health, Safety, Quality, Environment, and FSSC 22 000:

• Daily Cleaning: Pick up papers, pallets, and boards around the site daily.
• Health & Safety Policies: Follow the company’s health and safety policies.
• Standards Compliance: Adhere to all company standards.
• Food Safety Standards: Comply with food safety standards and report any issues related to the Food Safety Management System to the Food Safety Team.

Other General Duties:

• Perform Additional Tasks: Be ready to perform any other general duties as required by the company.

Minimum Requirements

Qualification:

• Grade 12: A high school diploma is required.

Experience:

• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization.
