Purpose: This job involves performing various general duties such as yard cleaning, diesel fill-ups, truck washing, and more.
Job Description
Maintenance of Equipment/Assets:
- Clean Equipment: Follow the standard operating procedures (SOP) to ensure equipment is cleaned properly.
- Sort Pallets & Boards: Make sure pallets and boards are sorted daily.
- Report Issues: Inform the mechanic about any problems with machines or equipment.
- Diesel Fill-Ups: Ensure all trucks are filled with diesel before they leave the premises.
- Keep Machinery Clean: Maintain cleanliness of all machinery.
- Assist with Truck Washing: Help in washing trucks as needed.
Health, Safety, Quality, Environment, and FSSC 22 000:
- Daily Cleaning: Pick up papers, pallets, and boards around the site daily.
- Health & Safety Policies: Follow the company’s health and safety policies.
- Standards Compliance: Adhere to all company standards.
- Food Safety Standards: Comply with food safety standards and report any issues related to the Food Safety Management System to the Food Safety Team.
Other General Duties:
- Perform Additional Tasks: Be ready to perform any other general duties as required by the company.
Minimum Requirements
Qualification:
- Grade 12: A high school diploma is required.
Experience:
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization.
