Genesis Young Professionals 2026 Intake

Genesis Analytics invites smart, passionate, and driven young professionals to apply for their 2026 Young Professionals Graduate Intake. Multiple permanent Analyst positions are available in South Africa and Kenya. The closing date for applications is fast approaching, so don’t wait!

Looking to build a career that actually matters? Want to work on real-world problems with some of the sharpest minds out there? Then this is the moment you’ve been waiting for. Genesis, one of the leading impact and strategy consultancies in the world, is now accepting applications for its 2026 Young Professionals Graduate Cohort – and it could change your life.

Genesis isn’t your typical company. It’s a firm with a mission: to help governments, businesses, and communities in the Young World thrive. The Young World refers to countries full of potential and youth – across Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, and Southeast Asia – where tomorrow’s global growth will be made. This is your chance to be part of that future.

🔍 What is the Genesis Young Professionals Programme?

Each year, Genesis selects a group of brilliant graduates and early-career professionals to join their team as analysts. These are full-time, permanent positions, not internships. From day one, you’ll be doing meaningful, high-impact work.

For the 2026 intake, successful applicants will join one of two practice areas:

  • Shared Value and Impact (SVI)
  • Competition and Regulatory Economics (CRE)

Whether you’re helping develop better policies, evaluate public programs, or guide private companies toward sustainable growth, your work will help shape a better future.

💼 What You’ll Get from This Role:

This isn’t just another graduate job. At Genesis, you get real responsibilities, real clients, and real change. Here’s what makes this opportunity so unique:

  • Work that matters from your first day – solving serious problems in Africa and across the world.
  • Hands-on experience in countries other than your own – global exposure is part of the deal.
  • A supportive environment with regular training, mentoring, and one-on-one feedback to help you grow fast.
  • A dynamic and collaborative culture – you’ll work alongside high-performing, friendly teams where your voice counts.
  • Room to grow – whether your passion is policy, economics, sustainability, or social impact, Genesis helps you become an expert and maybe even a partner someday.

🎓 Who Should Apply?

Genesis is looking for young talent who are passionate, smart, and ready to work hard. You don’t need years of experience – just potential, purpose, and a hunger to grow.

Here’s what they’re looking for:

  • Postgraduate qualifications (Honours or Master’s preferred) in fields like:
    • Economics or Economic Policy
    • Development Studies
    • Public Policy or International Development
    • PPE (Politics, Philosophy, Economics)
    • Sustainability or Global Studies
  • Excellent academic record and sharp analytical thinking.
  • Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • A love for solving tough challenges and making a difference.
  • Leadership potential and the ability to take initiative.
  • Must have the legal right to work in South Africa or Kenya.
  • Must be willing to work from one of these offices: Johannesburg, Cape Town, or Nairobi (hybrid model after initial phase).

🌟 The Genesis Deal: What’s In It For You?

When you join Genesis, you get more than just a job. You join a purpose-driven company with a heart. Here’s what makes Genesis special:

  • You’ll help tackle global challenges in climate, economy, health, and education.
  • You’ll be surrounded by brilliant minds who care about making the world better.
  • You’ll learn fast, grow faster, and be treated with respect.
  • You’ll be trusted, not micromanaged.
  • You’ll be part of a team where your future can lead to partnership.

✅ How to Apply

Ready to take the leap? Here’s what to do:

  1. Submit your application online via Genesis’ careers portal (make sure your uploaded documents don’t exceed 4MB).
  2. If you’re applying for more than one role, submit separate applications for each.
  3. Watch for your confirmation email – if you don’t hear back within three weeks, your application may not have been successful.
  4. All applications will be considered in line with Genesis’ Employment Equity Plan and Transformation Policies.
