Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Grade 11 or equivalent NQF4 qualification.
- Valid Blasting Certificate for Metalliferous Mines.
- Competency A and B certificates.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in Trackless Mining.
- Exposure to TMM, Conventional Development, Stoping, and Hydropower Drilling.
- Mining Production Supervisor Certificate (advantageous, not mandatory).
- Proficiency in English plus one other South African official language.
- Computer literacy (advantageous).
- Valid South African driver’s licence (Code 8–10).
- South African citizenship.
- Clear criminal record.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Provide technical support and best practices in designated mining sections.
- Plan, supervise, and control subordinates in both stoping and development ends.
- Ensure blasting activities in your assigned area are executed safely and efficiently, achieving production goals.
- Monitor and ensure equipment and material availability for optimal production.
- Uphold MHSA standards and Gold One’s safety motto: “Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely.”
