1️⃣ Assistant Fitting – X1 Post

• Location: Modder East
• Department: Conventional Engineering
• Experience: Entry Level

✅ Who Can Apply?

To qualify for this role, you must:

✔ Have Grade 11 or equivalent qualification
✔ Be fluent in English and at least one other South African language
✔ Have good verbal communication skills
✔ Basic knowledge of pump fitting is a plus
✔ 1-2 years’ experience in an industrial environment is required
✔ Be a South African citizen with a clear criminal record

🔧 Job Responsibilities:

✔ Support the Engineering Pump Fitting Section
✔ Work rotational shifts as required
✔ Assist Artisans with tools and equipment
✔ Perform good housekeeping in the work area
✔ Disassemble and reassemble pumps & equipment using hand tools
✔ Assist in pump maintenance & breakdowns (underground & surface)
✔ Follow mine safety standards – “Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely”

2️⃣ Assistant Pumping – X9 Posts

• Location: Modder East
• Department: Conventional Engineering
• Experience: Entry Level

✅ Who Can Apply?

✔ Have Grade 11 or equivalent qualification
✔ Be fluent in English and at least one other South African language
✔ Have good verbal communication skills
✔ Basic knowledge of underground water pumps is an advantage
✔ 1-2 years’ experience in a mining environment is preferred
✔ Be a South African citizen with a clear criminal record

🔧 Job Responsibilities:

✔ Support the Engineering (Pumping) Section
✔ Ensure pumps are in working order and report failures immediately
✔ Assist in repairing & extending delivery pipes
✔ Maintain clean working conditions to optimize pump efficiency
✔ Assist in pump installation, maintenance & relocations
✔ Follow supervisor instructions and adhere to safety regulations
