About the Internship Programme

  • Financial Management Interns (x3) – Reference No: FIN4/3/3/2

In total, there are 5 internship positions up for grabs, and competition is expected to be tough.


Minimum Requirements

To qualify for these roles, applicants must meet the following requirements:

For Financial Management Interns:

  • Matric plus a 3-year Degree or Diploma (BCom/BTech) in:
    • Accounting
    • Economics
    • Auditing
    • Risk Management
  • Must be computer literate
  • 0–1 year relevant experience

For Internal Audit Interns:

  • Matric plus a 3-year Degree or National Diploma (BCom/BTech) in:
    • Cost and Management Accounting
    • Financial Accounting
    • Forensic Auditing or Auditing
    • Risk Management
    • Information Systems or IT (BSc IT)
  • Higher Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma, or Honours will be an added advantage
  • 0–1 year relevant experience

What You Will Be Doing

As an intern, you won’t just be making coffee or filing papers. You will be exposed to real tasks that prepare you for professional life.

Financial Management Interns will work on:

  • Day-to-day financial management and reporting
  • Governance, ethics, and accountability practices
  • Auditing and compliance procedures
  • Procurement and contract management
  • Risk and project management
  • Building relationships with stakeholders

Internal Audit Interns will gain exposure to:

  • Internal and external audit processes
  • IT governance and compliance
  • Corporate governance and risk management
  • Municipal operations and public sector experience
