About the Welding Learnership

This Basic and Advanced Welding Learnership is carefully designed to take learners through four progressive training stages. Each stage must be successfully completed before moving to the next level. The full program takes 14 weeks to complete, providing both classroom learning and hands-on experience.

By the end of this course, you will have developed strong technical skills and gained practical work experience, preparing you for a successful career in the welding and manufacturing industries.

During this learnership, you will be trained in a variety of essential welding and metalworking techniques, including:

  • MIG Welding (CO2) – Mastering the basics of Metal Inert Gas welding
  • ARC Welding (Stick Welding) – Learning strong and durable welding techniques
  • Oxy-Fuel Gas Cutting – Safely cutting and shaping metal using gas-powered tools
  • Grinding Skills – Preparing and finishing metal surfaces
  • Hand Tool Proficiency – Correct use of essential tools for welding and metalwork
  • Practical Work Experience – Applying your skills in real-world scenarios
