📝 What You Need to Have:

To qualify for this receptionist position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric (NQF Level 4) is essential.
  • At least 2 years of experience working as a receptionist.
  • Must know how to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Should have a passion for giving excellent customer service.
  • You need to be reliable, focused, and a team player.
  • Must have good communication skills and be comfortable talking to people from different backgrounds.
  • Able to solve problems quickly and stay organized.
  • Good at managing time and setting priorities.
  • Should always look presentable, professional, and neatly dressed.
  • Must be fluent in both English and Afrikaans.
  • Able to follow instructions and complete tasks properly.

💼 What You’ll Do Every Day:

As the receptionist at Herotel, you will be the first point of contact for both customers and staff. Your job is to create a warm, welcoming environment while keeping things organized and running smoothly at the front desk.

Here are some of the tasks you’ll be handling:

  • Answering and routing incoming calls in a professional way.
  • Welcoming and directing visitors with a friendly attitude.
  • Helping customers and guests with their questions or needs.
  • Keeping the front desk neat, clean, and well-organized.
  • Answering phones and transferring calls to the right department.
  • Taking messages and making sure they get to the correct person.
  • Organizing meeting rooms and preparing them when needed.
  • Offering admin support to managers and team members.
  • Handling courier and post deliveries.
  • Filing documents and keeping records updated.
  • Following company rules and procedures to keep the reception area running well.
