What You’ll Do as a Truck Driver
Your role will involve:
- Driving Safely: Operate trucks while following all traffic laws and safety guidelines.
- Securing Loads: Ensure goods are properly loaded to avoid damage or movement during trips.
- Route Planning: Choose the best routes to meet deadlines, considering traffic and weather conditions.
- Inspecting Vehicles: Perform regular pre-trip and post-trip checks and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintaining Records: Accurately document mileage, fuel usage, and delivery details.
- Following Regulations: Adhere to hours-of-service rules and weight restrictions.
- Interacting with Clients: Communicate professionally with customers and dispatchers.
- Handling Emergencies: Act responsibly in case of breakdowns or accidents.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure the truck is in good working condition or arrange for necessary repairs.
