Hollard, one of South Africa’s leading insurance groups, invites unemployed young South Africans to apply for its Unemployed Learnership Programme 2025. There are 18 exciting positions available for passionate individuals eager to grow, learn, and build a strong career foundation in the insurance industry. The closing date for applications is 17 October 2025.

This 12-month learnership gives young people a chance to gain real work experience, receive professional mentorship, and earn a nationally recognized Insurance Qualification (NQF Level 4) — all while being part of a company that believes in empowering South Africa’s youth to succeed.

The Hollard Learnership Programme will take place in Johannesburg (Parktown), Cape Town, Pietermaritzburg, and Pretoria.

What the Learnership Offers

The Hollard Learnership 2025 is a full-time 12-month training and work experience programme designed to prepare young professionals for a future career in insurance and related industries.

During this programme, participants will receive:

  • A recognized NQF Level 4 Insurance Qualification upon successful completion.

Who Can Apply

To qualify for this learnership, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Aged between 18 and 25 years old.
  • Must have completed Matric (Grade 12).
  • Achieved at least 60% in English and one other language.
  • Achieved at least 50% in Mathematics or 60% in Mathematical Literacy.
  • Must not be currently studying or registered for any other learnership.
  • Must not have participated in a formal learnership within the insurance industry before.
  • Must be currently unemployed or not have worked in a corporate job for more than six months.
  • Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
